  • Resistors:

    • Power Supply Voltage Range: +3.7 V ~ +5.5 V5V

      Forward Voltage: 12V3.3V

      Desired LED Current: 10mA to 15mA

      Resistance= (Power Supply V - LED VForward Voltage)/Desired LED Current

      • Maximum Resistance:

        (12R=(5V-3.73V)/0.010=830 ohms rounded to 900 ohms

        Minimum Resistance:

        (12-5.5)/0.015= 433.3 ohms rounded to 500 ohms(15mA)=113.34 Ohms

      • With 100 Ohm Resistor: I=(5V-3.3V)/100= 17mA Max mA=20mA

  • March 13 2022, researching components needed for the led strip

  • March 15 2022, agreed to use option 2, calculated LED resistance and found smd resistors. Finalized part selection for the project, awaiting response from EE Leads.
