Introduction

  • Develop small fixed wing plane!

      • high thrust to weight seems optimal bc we can get away with more mech wise?

  • Primary purpose

    • testing EFS milestones milestones​ M2 and M3

    • testing EE ZP3 hardware designs

  • Secondary purpose

    • initially use with pixhawk to have mech validate functionality?

      • we can also do fixed wing pilot training with pixhawk with this to prepare for Big Fixed Wing 2025 .

    • as houston is to pegasus hopefully this platform can be to Big Fixed Wing

    • provide practice with block diagrams and system engineering for EE which seems needed after last year’s lack of detail in final arch log.

  • Meghan Dang up to run integration for EE side of ZP3HW

    • this is the foam fixed wing we’ve flown in the past to test ZP, had issues with wingspar and reliability so we’re looking to upgrade this year!

    • Feedback on the twin design is that the wingspar broke and motor mounts were unreliable. battery mounting was the crumple zone and all components being taped were difficult.
