Next Work Session

Evan Janakievski

Sohee Yoon will be hosting a work session on Saturday or Sunday (which day and time?) to cut out the panels for Eclipse

If you want to help out stop by during it, you’ll learn about our (current team roster) first fuselage attempt before attempting more complex geometries in the future

  • New payload design is in the works

  • Lots of testing to find the correct pump that we can use which will influence the design

  • Will have more updates when Alison Thompson is present

Composites

Evan Janakievski

Are we making new battery shrouds?

Only thing left is adding cutouts to the wing spars for EE’s harness

Comp:

  • Validated new pump for 1.5m suction and 3m vertical pumping with Ryan Scomazzon . Would anyone be interested in validating our previous pump for outlet applications?

Eclipse Wings

Nathaniel Li

  • 3D prints ready, 1 PLA print and 1 ABS print

  • Laser cutting balsa is ready to be done

    • I’ve prepared the DWG for the ribs, someone just needs to put it on a USB and bring the balsa to the RPC to get it cut

    • Can I get someone who’d like to do this? I’ll message you with detailed instructions

  • Once 3d prints and balsa are cut, assembling can start!

    • If possible, this can be done at the next work session

Eclipse Fuselage

Sohee Yoon

  • I will be cutting out the frames this weeks work session and finishing the fuselage.

    • I’ll cut out the spar cut to test the fit

Eclipse Empennage & Landing Gear

Smile Khatri / Evan Janakievski

  • Updates from Rohaan

  • Ordered a servo adapter for the rear landing gear, if you are on-site and see it in the Bay please place it in the last drawer of the red tool chest

    • Likely to arrive early next week

  • Landing gear updates from past work session

    • One part was not laser cut before break, so it will need to be made in the machine shop with the bandsaw and a drill

      • If anyone wants to attempt this I will be finishing the drawing and can walk you through what I was thinking

    • The front landing gear needs the holes for the wheels to be widened as the incorrect size was modeled.

    • Will be ready to go latest Feb 1st/2nd weekend

  • No labels
