What is the time commitment required for being a WARG member and/or completing the bootcamp? This question is one of the most common questions prospective members ask so this document sets out to answer that in a central location. Further it seeks to provide guidance for existing members!
There is no deadline for the bootcamp.
The bootcamp is all at your own pace.
Our recommended minimum commitment to the team is attending weekly subteam meetings
Please note that missing a subteam meeting here and there is not a big deal as a member

Besides that the team time commitment is whatever you want. Feel free to put in as much time as you want.
If you’re new to the team some advice from Chris Chung is to treat WARG as just another course you do for school. Spend an hour here and there as you would for a normal course you’re taking. This is just a suggestion, but is a good starting place as you find your balance.
The more you put into the team the more you will get out of it.
Life always comes first

Your education is important!
Any major life events come first!!!
It’s totally reasonable to vary how much time you put into WARG when you’re on co-op or school term or any other variable life aspect no matter what position you’re at.
We prefer if you keep the team in the loop regarding your availability, however, we recognize that life is chaotic by its nature and this may not always be possible. Please note that repeatedly ghosting the team will result in a lack of trust in timelines from others over time.
Communication goes a long way! Just let us know when you will and won’t be available.
There's no need to give reasons/justifications for being busy. All sorts of stuff happens in life and nobody else is entitled to know.

Our goal as a team is you have a good time and feel engaged as per Team Charter (2021-2024) and Keep WARG Engaging! and consequently want to put time into WARG
You will find that if you ascend through the organizational structure the time commitment expectations do increase. The Onboarding documents hopefully make this clear in the expectations sections.
To be clear, this means we are expecting members of leadership are able to commit time to WARG!
