Keep WARG non corporate!

Things that suck about big companies that don't seem to be issues in small ones (I've got 3 atm, but I'm actively thinking about this).

  1. Anyone who isn't at the lowest level of the organisation (think sub-team leads and up) are constantly being bogged down by meetings, questions, and admin shit to the point where the whole day consists of it and there's not much time to do "real work" which would mostly consist of architecting and dreaming up the next cool thing. Rate of innovation slows.

  2. People start to feel like cogs in the machine. Their importance to the organisation becomes completely unclear and the driver of their work becomes something much smaller than seeing the team produce crazy cool shit and succeed. We start to get people who don't really care about the team succeeding or failling cuz they're not tied to it at all and they can just hop to the next thing real easy.

  3. There are no opportunities for relationships to form between upper management and the recruits or even between recruits on different subteams. People start to feel small and disconnected from the bigger picture. They never get to listen in to what's going on in other areas of the organisation, and the crazy one off idea they may have had about something completely split from their work is never shared.
