Task 1 Debrief
Debrief
What went well:
More process and structure
Less rushing, calmer relaxed place
Hit target start time
Used the checklist better
Vanny is still intact and didn’t catch on fire
Grabber could pick up/hold object
Everyone knew what needed to be done and we did it (pre morning meeting)
Light bridge video was good when it worked, could use more context from front facing camera
Didn’t panic when things went work
Grabber either needs to be really secure and not move at all or flexible and drop the package
Everything stayed together, very mechanically durable - loctite !!
Having extra space on the frame to mount random stuff and being able to move them wrohnd

What we could improve:
Flight line communication, as soon as we lost transmitter we moved to runway which messed up whole system - need to be able to communicate effectively with everyone, radios!!
Multiple receivers so more people can see video feed
All competition communication should be sent to the entire team
Switch flight controller into different mode (could be from batteries or gps/imu/interference)
Should have done more flight practice : landing, video transmission
Need a toll tower for receiving
Open HD - video and camera system need to be validated
Flight test way more, like every week/certain times a month- decide dates and make people meet them don’t wait for everything to be done
More organization in work area, people know where things are supposed to be and put them back there
Better harnessing (especially vectornav)
Battery connectors need ti not come undone, connector standardization
Don’t hot glue cables
Better battery mount
Landing gear can improve impact resistance
Checklist items of what to pack need to be owned by everyone
Checklist need a clear order and be updated
Spare cables
