General Notes

  • What do we want to complete by symposium?

    • At minimum, a video of M2 working outside

      • Mating, Swapping, Releasing, (and Landing)

    • In-dock charging (we’ll try to do it for real, but worst case scenario, we can put the charging board on the dockside and just say that it works)

  • What do we want to present at CEC?

    • No M2, JUST M1

    • Keep it focused on a single, polished solution

    • Narrow the focus of the application as well – specifically for quick organ delivery

    • In-dock charging (stretch goal)

  • Symposium details

    • We will request to do SYDE symposium

      • They have a different safety validation person, we need to coordinate with them and set things up

        • Need to double check that the net is available for use in the SYDE symposium, or if it’s a Tron-specific thing

    • We will not be using the power supply – instead just using batteries

    • Use the nets – will be easier and faster to demonstrate than using RoboHub

    • In the SYDE symposium, there will probably be less competition for the net

  • Use the gearbox for the swapping mechanism for improved reliability

    • Prevent skipping

    • Should do this for M1 for sure (on the Ground Dock)

    • Tbd if it should be done for M2 (on the Tender Drone)

Timeline Until Reading Week

  • Today

    • Replace the new FPM on the Primary Drone

    • Attempt battery swap with Ground Dock and Primary Drone, with new FPM

  • Tomorrow

    • Tender Drone assembled with the ability to mount the Primary Drone

    • Ground-to-ground swap between Primary and Tender Drones

  • End of this week

    • Tender Drone maiden (with equipment on it)

    • Air-to-air swap attempt

      • We expect to encounter problems, so we want to do this as early as possible

    • Register for CEC, book flights, get reimbursed

    • Ansys simulation done
