    • selection criteria information

    • general roles

Competition Attendee Time Commitment

  • May 22nd to May 24th are dates we will be competing on.

    • The entire team must be present during these dates and minimal breaks should be anticipated

    • Be prepared having as little as 6 hours of sleep on the evening of May 22nd and May 23rd though depending on the state of our system we are likely to have more than that.

  • We will need to drive into Ottawa on May 21st

  • The earliest we leave Ottawa is the morning of May 24th.

  • Leading up School Term

    • In the four months and weeks leading up to competition, competition attendees are expected to fulfil a highetendded Time Commitment of roughly 10 hours of WARG work per week.

    • For general is to be comprised roughly of:

      • 2 hour, meetings

        • subteam meeting

        • competition architecture meeting

      • 3 hour, engineering

        • subteam specific engineering work

        • manufacturing and assembly

        • confluence documentation

      • 5 hour, flight testing

        • on the weekends weekly

        • preparation, debrief and cleanup are included

    • for management focused members and offsite members this distribution of time will vary

Member Count

  • Due to senior member availability, decided to attend with no more than 10 members

    • Allows for 5 flight line members and 5 support members while not overburdening the few members who have represented the team before

Logistics & Finance

Traveling

  • Two vehicles and one trailer

General Finance Clarity

  • WARG covers the following expenses:

    • Transportation (from SDC to comp and back)

    • Comp fees (includes housing and food in Area X.O

    • Comp merch with our sponsors logos (you get to keep this after comp)

  • Attendees must cover their own:

    • Food during travel (before/after comp)

    • Additional travel fees (i.e. if you’re checking extra bags on a flight)

  • Competition team will split:

    • Groceries bought during comp (if applicable, there’s a chance we don’t need to buy anything)

Roles

Everyone attending should be clear on their purpose and selected for good reason as sending people to competition costs the team financially.

Director Attendance

  • Two out of three directors will be going to competition.

  • This is to ensure we are putting our best foot forward with respect to logistical and technical management of the team to drive our competition performance.

  • @Manasva Katyal and @Rohaan Vasa will be the two to represent the directors.
