AWS Windows set up

AWS provides you with 12-month free usage of basic instances

Please follow these steps:

1. Creating account and password

2. Input personal information

3. Input your credit card information and phone number for verification

4. Choose basic tier

5. Successfully created account

6. Login to AWS

7. AWS console home page

8. https://us-east-2.console.aws.amazon.com/ec2/home?region=us-east-2#Home: go to EC2 homepage

10. Click launch instance, add a name tag and choose Windows

11. Choose Free tier

12. Recommended to create a key pair for yourself and save it yourself

13. Double check the summary

14. Created EC2 instance successfully

15. Navigate to the list of instances that you have (You should have only one)

16. Trying to connect to this instance

17. Click “Get password“ and upload the key pair that you saved, you should then have your password for the EC2 instance. Open the remote desktop file that you just downloaded, and input the password for the EC2 instance. You should be good to go.
