Pre-worksesh Knowledge

We will be doing hands-on bringup of boards using stencils, solder paste, and toaster/reflow ovens. If you do not have experience with this, it is highly recommended to watch these videos to get an understanding of what we’ll be doing in this session!

Worksesh Goals

• Bring up CAN boards

  • ESC CAN adapter is the only one with all components

  • Boards + components for 5 people to bring-up

  • Will be using Toaster oven for this work session

• Bring up Tracking Antenna

  • should have all components, will have to gather them though

  • High priority + requires delicate handling (only 2 boards)

    • Ideally done with at least one experienced member

• Possibly validate ESC CAN adapter

  • continuity

  • shorts

  • tomb-stoned components

• Assign boards/projects to sub-team members

  • Some boards that are still waiting to be assembled (not part of F24 Order):

    • Michael’s Buck (24V to 12V or 5V)

    • Nolan’s Tracking Antennae

Board bringup priority:

• CAN

• ESC CAN adapter will likely be easier to assemble (1 sided, few components)

• comp critical

  • motor mount LED boards

    • should be done ASAP
