Success Criteria

Outcome

  • Full throttle all motors 3 mins

  • ESC’s do not overheat, motors are able to maintain 100% commanded throttle

    • Specifically like try and get some temperature values

  • No data issues

    • This would be like motors cutting out

  • Measure the new tiny power modue we’re using for heat (I anticipate it will get extremely warm, someone should visually watch it if the solder starts to liquify)

    • That big resistor on there is my concern point, that guy should get real warm, I can do some math, but likely we’ll be running it out of spec

  • Look at how twitchy the rear servos are with all the antennas

    • A video would be appreciated

    • Possibly try the antennas in a few different positions to see if it gets any better on servo twitch

  • tethered drone (ratchet strapped), props on, etc.

  • Thermocouple ESCs on FETs

  • Limit airflow on ESCs as will be done at competition

  •

  • Fake to-from fixed wing transitions.

  • Motors stop, restart on transition edges

  • tethered drone, fast airflow into airspeed sensor?

  • Do this a few times

  • 0-100-0 motor tests

  • motors all start / stop as they should

  • Look at the analog video and control link signal integrity during these operations

    • Look at servo twitch during these operations

  • controller mapping to allow hard 0-100 edge.

  • Would be nice to scope this and see how clean stuff looks here, but like I think some people may disagree

  • A bunch of these should be done

  • Opflow working

  •

  • move some image or paper below the opflow and correlate distances?

  • Rangefinder working

  •

  • some way to move the distance the range finder sees and measure it

  • Airspeed working

  •

  • some way to ensure the airspeed sensor(s) are working.

  • May need to use 2 I2C ports if both sens have same addr.

  • VMUX & VTX Working

  •

  • induce airflow.

  • check that vmux works with all cameras

  • push-prop thrust measurement?

  • generates thrust idk (this can be measured by some means if we wanted to but prolly not lol gg)

  • Control surfaces working

  • yup yeeters

  • Vibration Test

  • No data issues when vibing the drone by hand

  • Mechanically sound etc

  • have people shake drone and see if it worky after

  • LEDs working
