Day-Before To-Do List

Props on, drone calibrated

Pre-Departure Checklist

  • Batteries Charged

  • GCS Link available

Pre-flight Safety Checklist

  • Props on properly

  • Cables secured

Flight Test Debrief

  • Houston was tuned on all 4 axis. The tune looks significantly better than before and the params have been saved. This was visually confirmed by Anthony Luo & Megan Spee. Logs are available on onedrive

  • Autotune aggressiveness was left at 0.1

Roll Axis tune
Pitch Axis Tune

Flight Test Post Mortem

  • Houston Successfully Autotuned on ~all~ axes

  • Lots of “toilet bowling” when tuning roll (consistent with Vanny tuning)

  • Pilot not clear about tuning procedure, cancelled a pitch tune before it was applied

  • Flight time not long enough to tune more than one axis at a time.

  • Still minimal YAW authority compared to pitch/roll
