Created Case

  • 2 Mounting holes that are 58mm apart

  • Top Case has connections that will mount to the PI and will go through bottom half of case to mount onto drone frame

  • All Ports are accessible

  • Totally redesigned the case to accommodate for the fan and just to save on weight focusing on function over design

  • The design will allow the team to bolt the Pi first to the mount then it can bolt onto the top plate of the Pegasus drone

  • With 2 sets of holes the mount will bolt the raspberry pi 5 to itself using the outer 4 holes these holes accommodate for the Pi’s placement of holes

  • The remaining 4 holes shown on the right are 30 mm distance x 60 mm distance apart and will connect the mount to the drones top plate

  • Accommodating for the pins at the bottom of the CAD model for the raspberry pi 5 the holes elevate the Pi 3 mm to provide clearance for these pins and other electrical components

  • Its important to note that the holes on the raspberry Pi have a diameter of 2.7 which is a bit smaller than M3 (In my model I oversized these holes that mount / are concentric to the Pi

  • I wasn’t able to find any screws that fit in these holes beside the 2 that are bolted already to the Raspberry Pi
