Talk about manufacture and shipping orders
Â
go through each assembly and point out issues/flaws/ etc. take notes on it. Bring it out to main assembly for contextualizing each part.
Â
LIVE NOTES
quad frame doesn’t have to be square, it’s more important to have balance weightwise than dimensionwise. Rectangular is fine.
Frame is carbon fibre
Â
to edit
realign spar holes
adjust length of CF tube on edge wing piece
some mates messed up along the tail spars
Center of mass can be adjusted in this model
Â
Comments
Caution for center of mass: make sure we do this right, caused crash last time
Slider option is good
Whether or not the servos will have enough torque (rudder etc control surfaces). Using the spike servos. @Andy Meng will check
possibly reach out to companies about this
Everything harnessing solution
not occurring inside the round tubes
length of entire frame, test disassembling and putting inside an SUV
push motor dirty air. modify the gap between that and the horiz. stabilizer so it’s not super impacted by that
arm disarm must be available to reach when props are on
parachute deployment
vector nav on wings - massive grounding planes. The other antennas are kinda movable, but vector nav antenna is more finicky than the others, so higher priority. sitting in the wings, not in the CF though. linked in the electronics. @Anthony Luo for insight w/ mounting antenna
landing gear not a lot of progress, but skids not wheels. building flexibility into the material instead of additional weight making suspension
avionics compartment
prop guards….. tabled for now
The mates are wrong for the spar mounting assembly, top faces coincident
Vibration of motors
moving the cabin back and forth issues
prop guards for the safety of people
ESC mounting (on sides of booms). 3D print an aerodynamic pod to cover the ESCs and or the wires. No wires visible!!
Green beacon light top and bottom
3D printed junctions for the fuselage cage can be replaced with something stronger. carbon fibre adhesion methods @Joshua Perry
making the rudders stiff w/o using cross spars, or at least something that looks cleaner than dowels. Add to the 6 week CAD
