Remember to fill in the team roster if you have not done so! This is required every term: https://tinyurl.com/WARGTeamRoster
If you are a new member/bootcamper please make sure you have read through: New Member Onboarding - Administration - WARG (atlassian.net) and completed the required LEARN courses. If you need help with this message any of the leads!
If you are onsite this term please assign your self the EE on-site role in discord #role-signup
Asana/ConfluenceThere will be an Asana clean-up during this upcoming week, project owners are encouraged to use Asana to set deadlines for their projects. These deadlines are self imposed and are used to help keep projects moving.
Make sure to document everything on Confluence! This includes all design decisions (even small ones)!! Projects with bad documentation will receive spankings
Active PCB Projects
High Current Power Module (Zen, Chris)
@Zen Naseem Please provide an update.
12S ESC (Ethan, Chris)
Done component selection.
Apart from current sense, some work remains with the STM.
Digikey order started.
Goal is to have it ready by end of term.
6S ESC (Mena, Rayyan)
Updated Asana deadlines for project
On track with component selection at the moment
LED Controller (Neel, Parker)
Hoping to move on to component selection.
Block diagram complete.
ELRS Gemini (Michael, Farris)
FM: Been out of the loop on this lately, catching up on stuff on Discord
FM: Filled out BOM on Ethan’s purchase request so components can be acquired
MB: Need to finish PCB touchups suggested by Daniel
MB: Need to document all design decisions in confluence
MB: Need to post board gerbers in ELRS discord for review
PDB (Tom)
The confluence page has been updated with the calculations for the SMPS peripherals.
I have sourced and added the following components to the 365 library: smps inductors, feedback resistors, ss capacitors, frequency setting resistors, and retaining the previous input, output, and boot capacitor parts.
Next steps involve the RPP components before I move onto the component selection for the voltage and current sensing circuitry, setting a flexible deadline for all of this to be September 28-30th.
Tracking Antenna (Nolan, Hardy)
Hardy is working on low battery indictor schematic and component selection.
Nolan is doing second iteration of component selection.
12S Servo Module (Stanley, Jack, Jerry)
Jerry: We moved on to layout. I only wired up the buck chip for now. Other components are placed together but not connected to the buck chip. Still a bit of integration work to do.
Drone Wiring
Anything we want on the drone should be on by the end of the term for testing next term.
Work session last Saturday - ESCs, PDB, Partial Battery harness
Please let us know due to Hack the North
