Cabin
@Evan Janakievski@Sohee Yoon
Cabin rev 1 is assembled and mounted
@Sohee Yoon and @Evan Janakievski put together this doc on lessons learned from rev 1: Iterations of the Cabin
Summary of what we discussed for the second Cabin iteration:
Aeropanels right now are sufficient. @Evan Janakievski ran some simulations and suggested starting curve at the bottom.
Stair: With how the cabin is designed right now, we think using the door as a ramp is the best solution
@Evan Janakievski thought of a new mounting method for the cabin and drone frame. Did we want to discuss in this meeting?
@Divit Gawri Both @Evan Janakievski and I (@Sohee Yoon) are having some PDM issues when opening the cabin door assembly
Houston
@Smile Khatri
New landing gear manufactured last Saturday and it has been physical assembled on Houston. Only component remaining is to bolt the center plate to the LG legs.
@Nathaniel Li designed a sheet metal mount for 360 lidar. No concerns w bending the C-shape. I listed out some small design recommendations on the Confluence page.
Any questions/concerns?
Antenna Tracker
@Arjun Mandair
Updates
Manufacturing of Tracking Antenna on track
Orders have been placed from ServoCity and VEXpro. Sheet metal pickup tomorrow.
Still need to order set screws, SHC M6 Screws for tripod, and hex shaft from EMS. Making a purchase request as we speak
Filled out the financial ledger
CAD Review
@Thushanth Parameswaran Mount looks great. Thanks!
Please Move the files into the antenna tracker project, make a design review request, and update Gemini Mount
@Sohee Yoon Servo Mount looks great! I left some comments on that in the appropriate #mech-design-review thread. Please make a request for the AKK TS832 & Static Tower Mounts
Mostly Pegasus stuff so far. PEEK for Pegasus 2, Waterproofing stuff, landing gear redesign POP hardware.
Do we want to buy enough stuff to actually make a full drone’s worth of landing gear (~$50 extra)?
@Alison Thompson thoughts on buying enough for a full drone rn - if Arjun wants a gear for a second antenna tracker I’d like to wait until first one is working before spending money on a new one, maybe we do both of these when antenna tracker is confirmed working and hopefully a decision on landing gear is made as well? We probably want to do 2 drones worth of this if it works anyway so would likely be a second order anyway? Not set on this opinion, open to others
Anyone got other stuff to add in?
Same Gear as last time for other Antenna Tracker (@Arjun Mandair ): McMaster-Carr
