Pegasus 2

@Alison Thompson

  • The plates for Pegasus 2 have been cut, the center block has been made, we need to make 2 arm connectors and finish landing gear redesign

  • Need to push to get these done ASAP so Pegasus 2 will be operational in time for testing before comp, @Ben Lovegrove @Hao Gao what support do you need/what timeline can we work on for this design? Manufacturing will take a decent chunk of time

Houston Rangefinder Mount

@Nathan Green

Antenna Tracker

@Arjun Mandair

  • Apologies, currently very sick so unable to present these notes

Current State

  • Finished the first prototype. Works with servo tester

  • Yaw rotation is unstable due to sheet metal design

Next Steps

  • Updated Aluminum Yaw Servo Mount to add improvements for stabilization with recommendation @Alison Thompson provided. I believe @Thushanth Parameswaran wanted to work on sheet metal design. Please note that this need to get done by the end of this week. I will help you with design and manufacturing.

Cabin Timeline

@Alison Thompson

  • @Sohee Yoon @Evan Janakievski what is your target for the cabin rev 2 to be ready to manufacture? Making the layups and getting things made is going to take time so we need to get on this

Cabin Seats

@Nathan Green @Billy Karantzoulis

  • How are the simpler seats going?

  • When is the new revision expected to be done?

Houston Landing Gear

@Agapa Goombs @Sam Wong

  • The initial idea is to increase the angle of the existing landing gear and potentially shorten them.

  • Ran this by @Smile Khatri quickly yesterday to get some quick feedback.

  • The point is to decrease the height of the drone while increasing the footprint while not changing the existing rigid design too much.

  • The bottom mounting plate will need to be slightly modified to have corner extensions to reach the legs farther out.

    • still maintain the existing cutouts for mounting while not changing the mass of the drone due to the modifications too much → need to be investigated in CAD.

  • CAD to be completed for Friday (March 8th 2024)
