The 24V-12V/5V buck converter is a board that will step down 24V DC to either 12V DC or 5V DC with a maximum rated output current of 3A.

It is designed to output 5V @ 3A or 12V @ 2A.

Acceptable Input Voltage:

  • 7V-26V for 5V output mode

  • 14V-26V for 12V output mode

Maximum Input Current: 3.4A

This buck converter can output either 5V or 12V by swapping out the resistor R6.

  • 91KΩ resistor for R6 for 5V output

  • 240KΩ resistor for R6 for 12V output

In addition to this, in order for the output status LED to work properly and not burn out, its resistor R8 also needs to be changed depending on the output mode.

  • 660Ω resistor for 5V output

  • 1KΩ resistor for 12V output

The buck converter has a variant silkscreen on the back which can be used to marker out which mode the buck is in.
