Pre-flight checklist

Control Station

• Ensure that phone battery >= 50% and will be sufficient for the flight profile
• Ensure that the DJI app is up to date

Battery

• Ensure that battery is charged to the appropriate flight level (50% minimum required)
• Ensure that the battery does not appear bloated and the contactor pins are free of debris or burning

Drone

• Inspect props & prop attachment
• Inspect frame and gimbal
• Inspect IR sensors, assert that they are clear
• Plug battery in, assert that the drone turns on
• OPTIONAL: compass calibration & RTH setup
• If setting up RTH, set it to return at current altitude as 20m may be too high
• Verify lights are on
• Connect to the wifi network, ensure that the range is maximum
• Ensure that the firmware is updated to the latest
• Ensure that camera feeds are coming through

Takeoff (MEMORY ITEM)

• Log takeoff time - Ask visual observer to assist if applicable
• Hit Takeoff
• Execute mission
