New motor mounts from Sohee Yoon looking great!
Clamping leg blocks are coming along well.
Side shields are also looking good. Reviewing before meeting with Andy, but all seems on-track.
We have weight problems. Drone as a whole is projecting around 10kg rn, our goal was 7. All subteams are doing everything they can to do reduce weight, and we need to do our part.
Going to start moderate re-designing and lots of re-machining center block for weight savings
Cabin Updates
Alison Thompson
Talked at AEAC sync yesterday about our current ideas for the cabin
We want to have a main “skeleton” for the cabin that we can iterate through aero pieces on the outside and find what works best
This will allow us to get something done fast for other subteams to test on and we can work on a more polished cabin while they test
Considering cargo bay below or behind Barbies (We should disscuss, below could be a “safety” feature)
We will need someone to design the basic version of the cabin and block off space for the cabin and cargo bay
Someone to work on the interior (we want something light but feels realistic)
Maybe a separate person working on the cargo bay (we want something light but feels realistic)
Windows should end up existing but not integral to first rev
Open to ideas!
