Two options for the mount connecting to the box tube that will hold the drone.
First is a 3D printed mount that will be in the box tube and hold the drone.
Second option is to cut sheet metal into a shape that will hook onto the bottom of the x-frame
Because of the sizing of the tubes, the sheet metal option would need some spacers to make sure it fits the drone sizing, as there is slight overlap if the mount is against the box tube. Or the edges could be filed down to fit.
(there will be holes for bolts to go through both these options)

CAD Review:
Overall looking really good, just a few small changes.
I’d suggest extending these plates so they are on the ground so we aren’t resting on such a small area
Maybe we could consider 3D printed PTU caps so the ends of the legs are less likely to scratch someone’s let or smth?
I think putting these together with those shim plates you have in is going to be a pain, and I think we can get away with just one of these “u” plates bolted to the outside of the tube. You’ll just need to move the tube a small bit.
