Last Flight Test

Smile Khatri

  • Made sure Pegasus still flies after the break. Drone control seems fine

  • Tracking Antenna yaw is working as expected. Pitch not tested because it was not ready

  • Flew with passengers on, seat belts worked well

  • A landing gear leg broke when pilot landed the drone (drop from 6 inch above)

  • Tested the new FPV camera mount, it solved the camera vibrating issue. Shoutout to Nathaniel

Next Flight Test

Smile Khatri

  • Last flight-test before comp (which is next week!)

  • More pilot training and autonomy path testing

  • Testing pitch for antenna tracker

Notes

Comp Drone

Smile if he wants, otherwise Alison

  • We have decided to fly Pegasus 1 at comp and bring Pegasus 2 as a back up

  • This is because there isn’t enough time to thoroughly test the new drone and Pegasus 1 has proven reliable

  • Pegasus 2 will be brought up and tested fully after competition, in parallel with some new projects

Antenna Tracker

Alison Thompson / Smile Khatri

  • Antenna tracker needed an additional spacer to allow the gears to align as intended, I CADed this and Smile Khatri is working onsite to implement this change

  • Yaw was tested this weekend? - Smile Khatri any updates on this

    • Yaw worked successfully

Fixed wing program coming soon!

Alison Thompson

  • After competition we are going to work on developing fixed-wing planes with the eventual goal to be making a VTOL

  • More info to come on this project (I will be scoping it out in the next few weeks)

  • Will combine flight testing with sims to learn as much as we can!
