Essentially a revived and update version of this project: Drone Power Routing Board

What:

  • Basically a PCB that acts as a wire

  • See https://oscarliang.com/race-wire/ for an idea of what we’re trying to do here

  • As opposed to the old version above, this project will have multiple smaller PCBs instead of one huge one

  • Can’t go on arms bc the PCB would be too long to manufacture

  • Status LEDs to show when circuit is live?

  • No connectors just solder pads (except connectors at battery)

  • Can handle necessary current

  • Shaped to airframe

Why:

  • More surface area for same weight of copper

  • Easier to swap out motors

  • Can never get cut, clip with something etc

  • If designed well, has convenient, stable connection points between important parts of system

  • minimize connectors

  • easier to inspect all solder joints

  • honestly just looks clean af

Who:

  • To be assigned

When:

  • Assembled and tested in F24?

Plan:

  • More thought needs to be put into how this system will fit on our airframe

  • Everything it will connect to etc

  • No labels
