Introduction

• Meghan Dang Has built a sweet foam plane with some engineering guidance from Daniel Puratich

• Goal of this test is to how well this flies and get some pilot training in in preparation for the more expensive fixed wing program being driven now.

Plane Information

• Foam plane doesn’t have a flight controller, but does have a 5.8ghz video system.

• Meghan Dang plz add a basic outline of the hardware on this drone.

We are limited to only a few 3S batteries so targeting three flights if all goes well!

Warmup

• Daniel fly quad to get Meghan comfortable with the video feed

• One pack will be ~6 min flight time

Flight #1

• Meghan flies foam plane

• Daniel would like to fly quad same time to get some more footage of foam plane in the air

• flying in a loop

• get a feel for aircraft

• takeoff downwind

• feel out the battery life, land after 7 minutes to check battery percentage

• Daniel flies foam plane

• get a feel for aircraft

• loop and figure eights
