Document containing plans for S24 Pegasus 2 bringup post-midterms.

The mechanical frame of Pegasus 2 is very similar to Pegasus 1. The wiring will also be quite similar, but adjusted to follow the specs defined in Big Quad 2025.

The following block diagram is a high level representation of the current system architecture for Pegasus 2.

Some notes on the above block diagram:

  • lighting boards CAN wiring dnp initially

  • dshot for escs through the pdb, no can, probably will never do CAN here, ESCs are right next to pixhawk and the CAN boards are extra weight complexity etc.

  • unified video system does not exist yet, wire up identically to peggy 1 and call it a day

Session 1 (Wednesday July 10):

Work completed:

  • ESC->PDB Dshot wiring complete

  • MT30s put on motors

    • Lengths roughly measured for motor->ESC wires, need to be cut+soldered

  • Battery harness design done, wires cut to length, two XT90s soldered

  • No work done on VTX, saved for next session.

  • No work done on PDB->Pix, saved for next session.

  • Note: Everything related to this session was put into the Pegasus 2 Frame box, with the frame. (located at the right side of second row of back shelf; behind EE shelf as of the time of writing)

Session 2 (Wednesday July 17):
