opening hiring wide open → 4, 5 co-op students, helping on just projects, short terms OK, flex credit possible, unpaid**, will waive in-person requirement**
just for this term - not a continuous effort (hopefully spring term is better.)
Flight Test
Looked at DMMs, one of them is just cooked even with a new battery and one of them is hard to get at the fuse. Didn't bother swapping fuses from the dead one cause you can’t see if it is intact.

Pegasus/Competition Updates
Was testing a new pump, looks a lot better than the old one
We will need 12V on the drone.
Must check if PDB has enough current for 12V
Alternatively we can buy one off the shelf

Megan Lee Old pumps are garbooo - will not use
Tested if the new pump is bidirectional. It is not. That means we will need to buy a second one for the outlet.
Tested the new pump past its rated spec and works just fine.
This would require about 500mA from a 12V rail and can be controlled with water controller.
Did current analysis on the drone with Megan Lee
12V rail has plenty of current to run these motors. No buck will be needed.
Pixhawk has no current to spare. Need supporting electronics.
Mech is strongly considering no winch (therefore no servos) after the pump testing
Since we arent hanging a pump, it is less risky to leave cable dangling.

Not installing an antenna while boards is powered up means that transmission line is terminated with an open circuit, wave is getting reflected back and the doubling voltage destroyed the transmitter chip 😞

Initial ideas
Power distribution board that supplies power to most/all electronic sub-systems of the board
Standard connector that provides common rails: 12V, 5V
Really wanna optimize efficiency, maybe play around with some cool ideas with soft switching, different converter topologies etc
Power conversion system will take priority during initial development phase, last attempt at making this got archived due to limited bandwidth and also focus on additional features like I-Sense + RPP
