Introduction

This document is intended to be shared externally to give context to those interested in doing a co-op with WARG. This summarizes the process from an external perspective and intended to be sent by WARG to those interested in our co-op Program.

Requirements

WARG Requirements

  • Mentors must be experienced team members

  • Co-ops must be interviewed by more than a single WARG member before an offer can be extended.

  • Co-op must be interested in learning about the topic covered

SDC Requirements

Here’s what the internship experience will be like!

Mentorship

  • Daily syncs with manager of at least 30 minutes.

  • Manager and mentor

Compensation

All WARG positions are unpaid. We provide a learning opportunity and the co-op credit

idea is you can get a stellar co-op for next co-op with experience you get gain!

Commitment

location onsite mostly for best experience

times (up to you mostly, but meeting timings are sometimes weekends and evenings so a bit off)

Hiring Process

post in the last cycle when sdc gives us permission to.

WaterlooWorks posting and Discord advertising.

We will hold onto all submitted resume’s in our Onedrive so leads can access it.

Interviews either done externally or via waterlooworks

we may do rankings officially or we may do direct offers
