plan going forward

Tracking antenna

assembled SMT components on 2 boards

  1. vin-gnd 200 ohm resistance issue

  2. fix shorted pins on the other pcb

continue debugging and document process

ESC CAN

Assembled SMT components on all 5 boards

Resoldered some components that did not reflow well/had some minor issues (mainly the STM32)

EFS needs to do testing to confirm full validation of the board

BM06 Connectors not in yet, need these to program the boards

Validate EE side of things - testing for shorts, continuity, etc

Bring-up Tasks

In order of priority.

  • CAN DSHOT Controller

    • need to deliver to EFS to test the CAN circuit

    • when will this be ready

  • Tracking Ant Controller

    • need to deliver to EFS immediately

  • RPi Interface Rev B

    • need to deliver, ideally done this weekend so autonomy can test before next weekend

    • Daniel will participate in session for sure but would be nice if someone here to PM

  • Peggy 2 Lighting Board Rev 3

    • validate CAN circuit with CAN DSHOT Controller before assembling this

    • let’s assemble the bottom side this weekend?

    • other side need to wait for LCSC order

    • Daniel will participate in session for sure but would be nice if someone here to PM

  • Single Servo Module

    • for fixed wing, assemble before midterms

  • 6S Servo Module

    • for fixed wing, assemble before midterms

  • 12S Servo Module - Electrical - WARG (atlassian.net)

    • Jerry Tian

    • On hold to focus on comp critical Peggy 2 tasks.

    • Status update:

      • 2nd board is not seeing any voltage on buck vout, while 1st board was fine.

      • would like to run battery inrush test at Vin, see Efuse and Battery Inrush test plan

      • most likely is my soldering skill issue, feel free to take a look if you’re interested

Peggy 2 Updates

updates: Installed range finder with Ian Van Den Steen , no issues reported

no blockers so far

plans going forward:

Fixed Wing Updates - Fixed Wing 2025 - SysInt - WARG (atlassian.net)

  • First meeting of the term this week

  • Board updates below

Bootcamp Updates

  • Congratulations to Ahmed Osman and Sam Zhang for completing the bootcamp!!

  • Minor changes for future bootcampers:

    • Reviews will now be conducted over discord voice chat and are meant to serve as a discussion about the boards design and possible improvements

    • Please ping Parker Lawrence-Valeriani when you’re ready for review (smile)

  • Feel free to send any questions you may have!

  • Best of luck!!

Design Tasks

In order of priority. These are the active design projects.

Potential new project: Test Automation

  • Needs Assessment (comparing to the manual test procedure we have rn):

    • 1. characterize our custom buck converter’s performance.

    • 2. understand our designs more, help ee members learn

      • Load transient test is helpful on identifying issues if downstream board is brownout during flight test

      • Knowing efficiency of the bucks

    • 3. efs running out of work to do

Potential new project: Test Automation document pegasus harness diagram
