Overview

WARG may shoot photos and videos of WARG operations. Example of operations:

• Bay work session

• Meeting

• Flight test

These photos and videos include WARG members.

Additionally, the University of Waterloo (UW) and other 3rd parties (e.g. individuals of the public) may shoot photos and videos of WARG operations when WARG operations are located on UW property or a public space. Example:

• SDC open area

• Parking lot

WARG does not have control over 3rd party media.

Release

As a member of WARG, you give permission to WARG to shoot and use photos and videos of you, without royalties and without limitation.

You may request to WARG that your likeness not be taken and/or not be published, and WARG will do its best to accomodate such requests. However, WARG cannot guarantee that your request will always be fulfilled.

Usage

Common sense should be applied to balance usage and privacy. For example, in W22, WARG decided against installing a security camera in the bay for member privacy reasons.

Social media

WARG social media is not used to disparage anyone.

The use of WARG media for personal social media is also somewhat of a grey area currently and consent should be requested generally.

Media is tracked in Media Folders (Photos & Videos)

Flight data

WARG shoots images and videos to log flight data. Flight data is shared and analyzed internally to implement technical improvements. Flight data is not generally published on social media.
