Discussion regarding the EFS direction in winter 2024

Will be similar to last term, we will be doing of the shelf stuff paralleled with zero pilot work in order to fulfill the needs of the competition.

The main projects:(and each main project should be in charge by a lead, make sense)

  • zero pilot

    • sbus bug need to be fix(m1)

    • m2

      • Le Kang was working SD driver

      • Aiden was running the team - we better find a PM for AM

  • tracking antenna

  • COTS

Should be prototype stage:

  • Gemini

  • gps research

  • etc

Zeropoilt should move on to milestone 3

following the milestone structure: Milestones

if we fuck it up, we revert to the prev milestone

Setting up the Project Managers is pretty important

Hardy: Feel like the tracking antenna has been stuck on driver developing

Aadi: Keeps expanding the COTS stuff because this is how efs contributes to the comp

Write down all the available tasks, track the state of the progress and check if the person is still on the task

Recap the people’s availability onsite

Get some new tasks in hand before the start of term is good

EFS people can do the part selection to the CAN board, do an architecture and show to ee member to complete the board. ask daniel for more detail - Hardy can take the job of making the architecture

Bootcamper onboarding session should be divided among the leads, Chris will be available to respond to questions in the thread, but the voice chat will be only available after 9. Keep the session online. Update the bootcamp doc such that it they pin the leads instead of the names.

If we run out of tasks we can ask help from directors. Telling them we have no task is better than giving them useless boring task.
