  • WARG Resume Review happening this Saturday at 5 PM in the bay!

  • Meeting plans for the next few weeks:

    • Next week will be our last meeting before Reading Week / Midterms

    • No meeting on February 20 for Reading Week

  • Announcing a new promotion!

    • Effective immediately, Emma Chan has been promoted to Marketing PM

    • Will start overseeing our digital media efforts, with the possibility to expand into traditional media

 Finance

  • Wingchee W nothing much new. Uni got 3 tax refunds on our purchases this week. I will find the tax refunds that the school received, and changed the purchase costs on the financial ledger after meeting.

  • Will update AEAC Competition Budget if any new purchases or prospective purchases come up

 Sponsorship

  • Wingchee W W24 Sponsorship Proposals - IN PROGRESS i plan to work on each a little bit more tonight (just finished my midterm etc)

  • Georgia Vachon Westerlund Giving Tuesday Proposal

    • Funding must be directed towards immediate needs (immediately or within the next months)

    • Funds can be used to cover existing purchases made after Jan 1 2024

    • Funds can be used in combination with other funding sources (WEEF)

    • Funding amount: 1-1.5k per team

    • Due: February 23 at 1 PM

  • Wingchee W Updated team sponsor list - IN PROGRESS

    • Is Asana considered a sponsor? They are listed on select materials

      • Which tier should they be listed under?

    • Nathan Green reaching out to Terrapure for renewal

  • Old sponsorship stuff that contained good contact infos - initially put it in the financial ledger (for convenience) when we switched from google drive to one drive. Then, I moved this info over to the new spreadsheet that contains the list of current sponsors in the 2023-2024 comp cycle. I also reflected this change by taking out the word “sponsor” from the financial ledger spreadsheet title and updated the internal purchase protocol with the title change.

  • Some personal questions:

    • What is our goal with media? (e.g recruitment, sponsors, both)

    • What branding do we want to have?

    • What is the state of WARG compared to other design teams? (how many members, popularity, etc.)

  • Put out weekly posts + stories

  • Interactive media like Q&As

  • More video content
