Program and higher-level goals for the first part of the term

Discuss pros and cons for which competition to participate and schedule a meeting time to make decision.

General team goal:

  • Getting elementry systems working

  • flyable drone

goals for each subteams and the entire team:

  1. EE:

    1. ZP3

    2. power distribution

  2. FW:

    1. Comms (Aadi)

    2. PID tuning (takes a long time) high priority

    3. Porting ZP3 to neucleo board (big one, testing on phoenix, Anthony to ask about details)

  3. CV:

    1. Jetson setup (need ppl onsite)

    2. Ground station system (starting to code)

    3. Data telemetry system (the ground send and receive, onsite)

    4. ML model retrain(refactoring process is nearly done)

    5. 3D vision project ( fund got for lidar, thinking about the applications next steps)

  4. Mech:

    1. CAD organization (make sure in good order)

    2. Project Phoenix (design change since last flight test, purely mechanical test, make changes and produce more Phoenix)

    3. flight test with ZP3

  5. Operation:

    1. team funds and recruitment (team funds updated expect than maths funds, 2 pending funds, deans funding left, requesting sponsorship, No more WEEF and Engsoc)

    2. Merch design (hand drawing!!!)

    3. social (don’t have onsite ppl for operation) (more outings before the weather gets cold. eg hiking). First general in person meeting, (some fun events afterwards maybe?)

    4. social media ( more exposure )
