Comp Drone

Cabin Development

  • Parts for first rev are mostly made

  • Cargo compartment and seat design underway

  • Finish manufacturing and assembly of first rev

  • Flight test and check flight characteristics

  • Integrate seats, doors, stairs, windows, and carbo bay into second revision

  • Have a finished, fully integrated cabin that has been flight tested

Airframe Testing and Upgrades

  • Frame has been flown a few times

  • Landing gear has been identified as needing improvement

  • Overall goal to lighten the airframe

  • Improve landing gear

  • Identify any other airframe flaws

  • Waterproof drone frame

  • Test sensor mount vibration based on optical flow noise

  • Manufacture a backup aluminum center block

  • Fully flight tested and validated

  • All identified airframe flaws addressed

Pegasus 2.0

  • N/A

  • Design upgrades (lighten and address any known issues)

  • Manufacture an upgraded (lightened) second pegasus

  • Transistion to flying Pegasus 2.0 for comp, Pegasus 1.0 still mechanically viable and brought as back-up

Video System Mounting

  • VTx / Antenna arm mount designed

  • Decide on camera(s) / VTx / mux / OSD placement, models to be used. This is also an integration task

  • Design and manufacture mounts for cameras, VTx, and antennas

  • Working video system

Antenna Tracker

CAD

  • Mostly Done

  • Needs to undergo revision

  • Design new mount for new yaw servo

  • Design mounts for various RC and Video Tower Components

  • Will be done throughout build process

Build

  • N/A

  • Build RC and Video Towers

  • Have antenna trackers built by late February to March

Thrust Testing Rig

  • Designed and some parts manufactured

  • Load cell has been calibrated

  • Some tolerance issues with regards to the spacers and cylinders

  • Remanufacture an aluminum block and assemble everything

  • Have a finished thrust testing rig

Houston Upgrades

  • Only 3 legs touch the platform. The issue is most likely the incorrect bend angle on the new center plate

  • Waterproofing?

  • Parts will need to be remanufactured

  • Less wobbly based Houston

  • Waterproofed if interest exists
