  • A flight test coordinator (FTC) must be assigned to each flight test

    • If there is an FTC in training then there can be multiple flight test coordinators involved, however, the senior FTC is the single person responsible for the following topics for the test and should explicitly delegate portions to the person in training.

  • The flight test coordinator of the flight test is responsible for the completion of the following either by doing it themselves or delegating to others:

    • Completion of steps in Requesting a Flight Test

    • Determine a timeline for the flight test

    • Determine a testing site and commute planning

    • Ensure that a flight test document is created and the test details are well documented

      • Ensure checklists are up to date and tasks are assigned leading up to the test

      • daily follow ups with individual contributors to ensure tasks are on pace for the test.

    • Delegate a Pilot

      • A pilot is needed for every flight test. They are solely responsible for the aircraft.

    • Book a SDC vehicle if required. Specific details in SDC Vehicle Procedures

      • If vehicle is required, the FTC must delegate a SDC Driver clearly through communication
