Logo contest: 2021 Rebrand

Context:

WARG (Waterloo Aerial Robotics Group) is a student design team in Waterloo. We focus on designing autonomous aerial and ground vehicles that perform tasks such as medical supply pickup and drop-off.

Recently, we started to revamp our website and outreach material. Along with this redesign, we would like to introduce a new logo to use on the website, clothing, and aircraft. As such, the team has decided to host a logo competition open to all both on and off the team.

Submission format: Vector format required (.svg and .ai preferred)

Logo requirements:

• Submission should include an icon of sorts that doesn’t necessarily include text

  • Something to pull away and use on it’s own (ex. the Amazon arrow, or the apple in Apple’s logo)

  • Bonus points if it is aviation-related

• Submission should be adaptable to a 1:1 aspect ratio (i.e. The logo or some portion should fit comfortably within a square or circle)

• Submission should include “WARG” or “Waterloo Aerial Robotics Group”

• Submissions can’t include the UW logo due to SDC rules

Competition rules:

• The winner of the contest will be decided by June 3, 2021

• Note: By submitting your logo for review, you acknowledge that all rights surrounding the logo are given to WARG.

Prize:

As an incentive, a $20 Amazon e-Gift Card will be provided to the winner of the logo contest. Details will be coordinated between Sahil (team lead) and the contest winner.
