"Claw Machine" Concept
Criteria:
Box is max 20cmx20cmx20cm and 2kg
Probably not less than 20cmx10cmx10cm
About the design:
Uses flexible PETG to wrap around the object
Similar to a claw machine it would allow us to lower the package into the barrel
meant to ‘scoop’ up a packet while deforming around it for stable conditions
Specs:
3D printing ~60 grams
Linear Actuator: 88$, 2” stroke, 90.7 grams, water resistant
Stronger Actuator: 56$, 2” stroke, 70 grams, not water resistant (no cad)
Mechanics:
Minimum grip ~0.5in
Maximum grip ~9in
Grip size can be adjusted easily based on requirements.
Feasibility:
Currently the lower arms aren’t rigid enough to support 1kg. I’ll increase the thickness and re-print
Lower arms have good flexibility to wrap around shapes from 2” to 6” which includes rectangular and circular objects
REV 01
More claws = more grip. May have to upgrade to a 15lb linear actuator
Testing 5mm lower claws to see if they have a good amount of flex to stiffness
Same grip size
