Project Phoenix (mini drone)

  • updated CAD files for new sheet metal arms

  • prop guards haven’t been implemented yet

  • harnessing - exchange two landing gear and put the harnessing mechanism on which can attach to the golf ball socket tower thingy

  • Sunday mech social - after work session

    • spike ball and code names

    • byoj - bring your own juice

  • look into gauge of sheet metal and then try making one metal arm @Julian Yam - if using 16 gauge let Megan know

  • @Megan Spee will try to implement off the shelf prop guards

  • @Brielle Chenier will try and get a design machined for Monday for firmware

Feedback on meeting requirements for Phoenix

Insight: legs are easily replaceable, however arms are difficult to attach

Evidence: took very little time to replace two legs

Recommended Action: redesign arms to make it easy to replace, increase infill of dovetails, possibly revamp legs (beef them up)

Evidence: no mounting holes have been made

Recommended Action: Make holes and source spacers when it is clear that they are ready to test
