Project Phoenix (mini drone)

• small motor mounts get bent or misaligned but they will break before the arm does when it crashes

• try implementing

• protecting motors from underneath to protect from debris coming in

  • possibly motor cases

  • or part of prop guards

  • but motors are also pretty cheap on this drone

• should we use 2 dovetails and fewer screws or no dovetails and more screws?

• look into aluminum brazing for arms

• create a few test parts to 3D print for evaluating arm to frame connections

• UPLOAD PARTS TO GRABCAD

• get pvc to try making landing gear out of it

• look more into prop guard solutions

• get plywood for prototyping

• label the scrap metal bin

GrabCAD Organization

• current naming convention is good

• continue using it

• template for 2D drawing is in progress

• try making the template in solidworks

• look into solidworks tab builder

3D printer

• tools for cleaning 3D print bed, etc

• prusa is fixed!

• flashforge bed is really warped and dirty

  • nozzle is heating up

  • need a new bed

  • Gcode file for leveling the bed

• something to hang 3D printing tools near printer

• repairs for flashforge need to be budgeted

• send email to flashforge to ask for gcode leveling file

• source new bed

• when creating new pages such as part sourcing guides, put them in the knowledge base and then reference them in your project specific pages
