Cornflakes

• Cornflakes experienced rapid unscheduled disassembly

• Electrical soldering issue knocked out a motor and the craft went down

• Frame is a write-off. Beyond aluminum, we only lost one motor (All ESCs and props are okay).

• Time for a new one!

Competition Frame updates (go through list below)

• Avionics bay cover mold in progress

• Foam nose and tail cones ready for covering

• Cabin blocked by CV camera (explanation from @Emma-Lee Keeping )?

• Landing gear paused until more cabin progress

• Motor mount redesigns complete, in the process of printing

New pusher motor?

• Motor is an out-runner, so we can accommodate a larger push prop and lower Kv motor (~30% more efficient)

• Price ~$120. Combine with order for replacement lift motor

Houston, we have a new project

• Scaled up Phoenix for lots of testing

• Could consider using Vanny, but its control system is expensive

• We need a complete design (ideation, CAD, build), so there are lots of opportunities

• Reference Phoenix and Vanny for ideas

• Cheaper batteries?

• 15 mins flight time? → 10 mins flight time, likely, for battery health

• RTH, autonomous capabilities
