Takeoff Control

Takeoff Control

Throughout the takeoff procedure, there will be 3 main aspects we need to control:

  • The vertical location of the aircraft

  • The horizontal location of the aircraft

  • The approach speed of the aircraft

Within each stage of the takeoff procedure, each of the 3 main aspects are controlled differently. Here are the requirements at each stage:

Roll stage:

  • Vertical: Max throttle

  • Horizontal: Not controlled

  • Speed: Max throttle

Climb stage:

  • Vertical: Max throttle

  • Horizontal: Waypoint manager functions

  • Speed: Set constant
