Comp Design Direction

• Angled landing gear will let us more accurately land centered on the barrel

• Examining 2 payload options, working on both in parallel:

Tracking Antenna

• Planning to water jet the angle limiters this week

• @Agapa Goombs how’s the baseplate stabilizer going? Tracking Antenna Revival

  • The plate modifications are done, as well as new posts with potential bearings added to the post assemblies → concern with sizing for the waterjet plates (45 cm D but the limit is 30 cm)

  • We’ll prob need to order (or find if we have them already) ball bearings for this

Eclipse (Fixed-Wing) Airframe

Close to being finalized.

• Need to work on integrating the fuselage and the plan for that.

• The motor and camera mount is being finalized by @Arnav Gupta

  • @Calum Chisholm, the fuselage will need a new shape as the front of the plane is being changed from the adjustment of the motor mount

• There may be some machining tasks when this is being constructed for those interested

  • We made some progress with our approach of taking the existing ribs, separating them according to the dimensions in the aileron sizing, and adding a 2-spar design. Want to take another look at the CAD on the weekend to finish up the hinges, finalize the spar dimensions/location and final assembly.
