Leadership Transition

• Ryan stepping down end of this term

• Andrew is interested in being a lead → he wants to mentor people

  • He will be gone for a year on exchange

  • Does three leads at once work?

  • While he’s offsite he can handle admin stuff, bookshelf, new bootcamp

  • Still wants to continue PM work while offsite

• Kenny would be a good fit

  • On stream with Ryan

  • Concern about time commitment

  • He is interested!

• Have Kenny and Andrew become leads over the summer

  • This gives Andrew one term onsite as a lead

• Ishmann isn’t on stream with Ryan

  • Ryan will chat to him about it

• Post comp is ideal time for lead turnover

  • keeps stuff more cohesive, other subteams will follow suit

  • have them start after comp

• Let’s vote them in at next leads meeting!

PnP Machine Status

• Someone on EE is interested in working on this soon

• We can keep it as long as it is being used

• If it isn’t we can return it to the SDC?

Progress towards W25 Goals

• Peggy 2

  • Water controller → rev 2 prob doesn't need to change for payload changes

  • Water controller would be nice to get going

• Eclipse

  • Eclipse project manager might be nice

  • PM can do syncs with people working on eclipse

  • End of Feb for mech fully complete

• Change how PMs work:

  • Eclipse PM (bring up, validation, and harnessing) → able to assign boards to people

  • Peggy 2 PM → assign tasks like water controller, LED board

  • Not giving people the answers → giving them questions to figure out

  • Want to make it seem like people came to an idea themselves

  • If still waiting on mech, get more people involved with the ideation process

  • Timelines are important to ensure that things happen

  • Rev 2 water controller is not happening

  • Rev 1 is on the drone and working now
