To ensure retention of members, the following is advised of Team Leads and Members:
Foster an environment where new members aren’t intimidated/hesitant to ask questions
Don’t form cliques, involve new members in conversations and try to mentor those who are interested
Stay away from inappropriate conversations in team events/the bay (e.g. 9/11 jokes aren’t really acceptable)
Persistent follow-up on bootcampers
This can include team 1:1s, other things to ensure that members aren’t lost while completing the bootcamp
