2024-03-31 Co-op Discussion
hardy would need to official be manager bc derek isnt in 3rd yr
any efs lead could be real main POC
EFS projects
tracking ant: hardy?
need to ask Hardy
starting with all the drivers for the chips
algorithms kind of exist for the tracking antenna but need to be integrated with drivers and debugged to point to drone
integration testing
algorithm testing
working with tracking antenna system
half dev work, half integration work
lots of pieces everywhere and some pieces missing
someone needs to clean it up, add in fixes, then get it onto the antenna
quadversity: derek
Nolan working on board, has nothing currently
co-op would dev firmware to run it
parallel EE design and EFS dev
prototype by end of semester for a custom board is what Nolan’s saying
could try dev boards? look into this approach?
this would be mostly pure dev work, very theoretical
more architecting
zp milestone 2 testing: Ayoung?
we have people working on it
nobody is interested in integrating and testing on foam plane
aidan, hardy, and daniel did a lot of that for milestone 1 for making harnesses and integrating
owning the system, soldering it up, flying it
do harness design and assembly for the plane
prepping zp3 board and wiring for motors and servos
this is very much system engineering and integration heavy
harnessing and stuff is not related to fir
we don’t want to give them busy work
like we have to balance the job being integrationy vs pure dev work
job market is tough tho so we should get applicants
want to give them something thats meanningful
wants to learn
list out tools they will learn in the description, list technical skills theyll get
balancing team needs and enticing job offer
in this phase its about what we want to get
Put all three efs project ideas in description or just one
put all three in job posting, then in interviews see their perception
Â
Writing job
ok we’re going ahead for both
ee will be for zp
can focus on design or assembly, wahtever they’re up for
