Wings

@Sohee Yoon

  • @Sohee Yoon currently still working on the Balsa ribs (will hopefully get a CAD done this week) but I was considering manufacturing options and we could try utilizing the laser cutter. This way we will be able to create some complex designs. The RPC laser cutter cuts up to 9.5 mm thick pieces. If that’s too thin we could glue two pieces together

  • @Nathaniel Li is also working on a separate design (a more easier manufacturing design)

  • adding more support at the leading and trailing edge to prevent concave issues

  • go with box aluminum tube for the spar

  • 5mm current thickness for ribs

    • 2-3 mm common for large planes around 1-2 meters

  • 0.23 m chord len
