    • found root cause why the buck chip doesn’t work

      • our schematic

    • applied a fix, but buck still doesn’t power up

    • to unblock efs, we are gonna solder the seeduino & display on a brand new board, and inject 5V at buck Vout to provide power

  • Lighting Board Rev 3

    • 4x boards have all been validated and handed off to EFS

    • done on ee board assembly side

    • needs firmware then will get mounted

    • would be nice to get it on the drone for a photoshoot after midterm or wait for payload

  • RPi Board Rev B

    • @Daniel Puratich completed bringup, integration, and testing last week validated fully with autonomy team

    • 2x boards, one for Houston, one for Pegasus 2 are ready

    • One on Houston is fully installed, but both are fully validated and identical

    • simple board, absolute winning on this one

    • maybe need to order more of those headers

Embedded Flight Software

Mechanical

  • Task 1 Solution

    • camera mount

    • Gimbal for Task 1 ?

      • is this necessary? we can look into but need to know what camera ASAP

        • necessary is probably not, but maybe gets us more points depending on how they do the physical obstacles

      • will gimbal mess with location if camera moves relative to drone

      • easiest to do this on peggy 1 so we don’t need to take payload on and off for peggy 2, thoughts?

    • gimbal over complicates, no gimbal

    • only one camera, pointing doward, POR for now

  • Peggy 1 Stuff

    • harder to bring up to peggy 2 spec because different electronics on it right now

  • Tracking Antenna Status

    • ready for EFS!

  • Task 2, hovering bonus points?

    • may be possible with current designs if we do the first delivery when the water level is high, may have to take an L on a smaller amount of water for that one delivery

  • Planning on making both payloads and choosing at end of term

    • both inexpensive

    • gives backup if something happens

    • lets designers have a physical product at end of term for portfolio, more gratifying

    • can test both and see which we like more

  • What is IR Camera POR?

    • @Mihir Gupta ordered 3 Raspberry Pi IR Cameras

    • These are ordered so that we have something to test with

    • We can purchase other cameras if needed but these are intended as a starting point for now

  • What is task 2 autonomy plan?

  • Will we get a known location GPS beacon?

  • Can the 3 meter requirement be relaxed?
