Flight Tests
Nov 2nd Pegasus 2
Tracking Antenna
From EFS:
Finished integrating, everything works along with the servos
Next is testing on the actual Tracking Antenna Servos. Just need to test and map those servos to the code. Pretty simple, going into the bay tomorrow to finish this.
Then need to solder the GPS wire so that we can connect it to the Tracking Antenna Board. Once done, need to test code outside with GPS. Also to be worked on tomorrow.
Last is actually connecting to the drone and testing the tracking antenna. This would require taking the drone outside and just manually moving, and seeing if the tracking Antenna responds correctly.
Powered with Michael's buck converter, seems to work
Analog Video System
Analog video system is installed and tested
Autonomy System
What code are we running
Go over geolocation accuracy/kmls - see https://discord.com/channels/776618956638388305/1292455393984905306/1300679255843405866
Does Mech have an RPi case ready to go?
We were told Rpi was only going on Houston this test, it does exist but we need clarification here
Spacers for the interface?
mech was told no
EE will figure out battery power tn for beacon
Lighting System
PCBs and code is tested on the ground
Harness & mounting in progress, will be ready before nov 2nd flight test, not sure if this will be tested
Task 1
State of autonomy system
IR/brightspot detection: in progress for next ft
updated geolocation logging: in progress for next ft
GPS outputs with time and drone odometry
Looking at how to send using mavlink to ground
KML sending/recieving and building on ground: probably not next ft, but the one after that
Looking to get more geolocation data, as well as IR camera data. Hopefully can test how good the IR detection is.
Mech going to make mount for IR camera on peggy
Current plan is to mount to arm, remove after task 1
When is this needed by?
preferably the flight test after the next one (after nov 2)
Task 2
Pump design has most parts here and will have CAD done by Thursday
pros: simple, easy to manufacture
cons: slow
required from other subteams: support for 2 pumps, solenoid valve too slow
Scoop design CAD to be done by Nov 4th
pros: much faster
cons: more complex
required from other subteams: support for 1 (maybe 2) servos
Still planning to do both and then decide later
Asana Review
I have a bunch of tasks with deadlines and some that are unassigned, want to walk through who is doing what when.
Nov 16th
What do we want to test? Review Asana
