Mechanical
Motor and propellers have arrived.
Manufacturing started last week. The progress so far:
All plates for the frame have been waterjet
Finished few stand-offs for the frame + 1 wing-spar
Plan for this weekend:
Waterjet the landing gear and motor mount
Finish the second wing spar and tail boom (should be achievable this Saturday). Begin frame assembly asap standoffs are ready
Empennage design complete, balsa sheets, and wooden dowels need to be procured (that’ll happen this week)
using 2 servos for the elevator, 1 servo for the rudder. They have arrived.
Wing manufacturing timelines
Could we get started on 1 of the wings this weekend since the spar is done? - Smile
Nathaniel:
Been busy with some school stuff recently but the only thing blocking wings are the ailerons
We could manufacture some ribs and 3d prints for the spacers but assembling should be held off
Will order more balsa

Avionics/EE updates
What is readiness of all of the following boards!
6S Servo module Rev 2
coming in sometime this week, assembly not until next term unless otherwise requested
aiming for bringup + validation early next term
i don’t think Jan 10th deadline is doable, probably push it back by a week or two.
Redundant 5v buck
ordered and will be assembled and validated by EE co-ops this term.
single servo driver
hardy taking control on this one
issues with debug mounting should not be an issue
do we want LED controller Rev 4 on this?
probably no lighting board - would need dedicated board
more details on wiring the airframe
do we have all the components needed?
@Jerry Tian for interest in creating harness diagrams
is there a diagram for this + locations on the airframe
can we get a diagram for this/exact locations of where PCBs will be mounted on the airframe from mech?
Will select an Eclipse EE pm at the start of next term, might gauge interest soon.
