General Note:

Milestone 1 completion pushed to July 21st.

System Manager

  • If PWM (already merged in), Sbus, and model configuration get merged, Gagan will start to combine them together.

Attitude manager

  • In review

  • Global static variable for the controller input: the code is polished, in review by Aidan. Needs discussion about the testing strategies.

  • Configuration is blocking the project.

Model Configuration

  • Issues found with initialization in the current design, Tony will be working to fix it.

  • Hard to say how much work is left at the current point.

SD Card Driver

Sensor Fusion

  • PR merged, task complete, it won’t be implemented in ZP3 immediately.

Altimeter

  • Document ready, up in the confluence. The link will be up soon.

Range Finder support

  • Preparing to test on the nucleo he bought himself.

  • Confusion with sequencing

Path Manager

  • PM processing flight and waypoints: Started Unit Test, and started researching the loiter hover features.

Telemetry Manager

  • Progress in Mavlink library and transmit function.

  • Projected to be done in August

  • Testing is projected to be held at the end of July

Aadi’s comment about mavlink messages:

queues between managers- can send different messages? TM-specific data to PM, take Mavlink messages, reformat them, and send them to whatever manager they need to. Need pre-defined struct for it.

Simulator

  • Came up with the workflow for the simulator (how it’s going to work)

  • Broken up the modules so everyone can sign up with a block they want to work on.

Tracking Antenna

  • Instead of PID tracking, we are planning to do simpler tracking.

  • Servos support up to 8 turns. needs calibration code for future iteration testing- Nolan will continue working on PID tracking because we will use continuous DC motors.

SBUS

  • Waiting for the review, ready to be merged.
