Logistics

Timeline

  • Driving time total will be 12 hours with no breaks

    • google maps gives 11 to 13 hours depending on traffic

    • sdc speed limit is 120

    • we gotta stay on the road to make one day solve.

    • we must stop every two hours per SDC rules to switch and gas

      • aim for 15 min stops

      • an hour and a half extra from this

    • if we eat in the car then dont have to add for lunch

    • 15 hour total commute with some buffer

  • Departure Time

    • Leave at 6am in the morning to ensure we get there around 8pm or 9pm

Packing Plan

  • Packing WARG stuff

    • all day before, see gcal

  • Personal Items

    • clothes for four nights

    • need nice clothes for banquet

    • it will be cabins, the shampoo they have they wont refill, meant for two nights

    • one backpack, one suitcase per person

  • Last year we had truck

    • with six people per caravan will be close

    • put personal items on the bottom

Driving Plan

  • Who is driving when?

    • Nathan & Aidan must be in same car for trailer as they’re only ones who can drive it

    • All other drivers in the other vehicle

    • must leave loo with the open slot in the non trailer vehicle

    • otherwise doesn't matter

  • what vehicles?

    • two caravans, one white, one grey

    • only one vehicle has trailer hitch

    • we must get trailer hitch onsite, we need to ask Graeme for keys and trailer hitch

    • Keep all receipts when you pay for gas

    • photos if u want, if u lose its an L, some of the gas stations may be scufed

When we’re at competition staging the aircraft for readiness the roles are as follows:

Flight Line Roles

When we’re flying the drone at competition:

Five for flight-line. Everyone else must stand away, cannot be talked to, cannot interact with ground station.

Only one person to tour landing site. On friday.

Three FPV monitors total, one goggles, two displays.
